About Me
Hi, my name is Liam Hassett, I am a native English speaker from the UK. I have been teaching English since 2008. I have lived in Slovakia for over 12 years, and in that time I have learned a lot about Slovak people, their culture, and the most common mistakes they make when speaking English!
I offer English Language Coaching for intermediate to advanced students of English language.
For those who have spent years learning from books, but have never felt comfortable speaking English, I offer stress-free and informal sessions to help you become a more natural and confident English speaker.

Coaching Sessions
Conversation+
If you are struggling with English in your work, or just want to give your English skills a bit of a polish, a weekly Conversation+ session could be for you.
I like to keep my lessons engaging and varied, with a mix of reading and media exercises, as well as open conversation.
Individual sessions are usually divided into 3 parts: a quick grammar refresher, a media exercise (short video or article), followed by open conversation where we can talk about your day, work, or any specific topics you would like to deal with better in English.
Lessons can cover:
- Business English
- Telephone conversations
- Talking about current events
- Advanced vocabulary
- Phrases and sayings
Plus anything else that meets your specific needs, such as overcoming a specific grammar issue.
Individual lessons can also be done online.

Group Conversation
Prefer to chat over coffee with friends? A group session gives you a regular space to practice your English, with help and advice from a native English speaker.
Group sessions are a more relaxed way to improve your English.
Lessons are usually divided into 2 parts; a media exercise (short video or article) or quick grammar refresher, followed by open conversation.
Groups are limited to 3 students, to make sure that everyone has a chance to fully take part, and we usually meet in a coffee shop, or other public place- even outside in nice weather.
This makes for a nice and informal conversation atmosphere, so sign-up with a friend!
